How a toddler mom builds tranquility
How a toddler mom builds tranquility
Take it from Bend Marketing Manager and mom of a one-year-old, Chelsea Derr, you don’t need an interior designer or beachfront property to make your very own oasis.
Great stuff, huh? Now you can try these simple steps to create a more peaceful home today - no matter the age of your kids:
- Declutter one small space. Doing a full spring-cleaning on your home probably isn’t realistic, so start by tackling your child’s toy box or encouraging your teen to organize their desk drawers.
- Set up a cozy corner. Designate a small nook or a comfy chair in your home that can be used by anyone in the family to do relaxing activities like reading, journaling, or meditating. Make sure you choose a quiet(ish) place and add a candle or comforting blanket to make it even more inviting.
- Bring nature in. Doing small things like opening the blinds to let the natural light in, putting ambient sounds on like ocean waves, or adding a plant to your space can be a real mood lifter for everyone.
